Owner/Frame builder: Matt Craig
Here at Rad Bicycle Co. i have engineered Midwest shred machines. Over the past five years I have been trying to keep up with geometry, spacing, and what ever other trends are happening at that time. I finally came up with what works for me and my community. I have dialed in the frame building process to be most efficient , to give myself more time to focus on the welding of the frames (which is my favorite part). All of the tooling in the shop has dedicated machines making things more repeatable and less time consuming, also in the shop I have a lot of one off tooling to make the tube cutting process seamless.
All of the frames coming out of the Rad Bicycle Co. Shop are 4130 chromoly steel with double butted front triangles and straight gauge rear ends. When welding, the frames are fully back purged and welded with heat sinks to reduce the tubes from becoming brittle. All machined components are purchased from Paragon Machine Works. Tube bending and cutting is done all in house, with Anvil Frameworks jigs and Cobra Framebuilding Tooling bender.
